North Cheyenne Cañon Park is reached via Cheyenne Blvd. Striking rock formations and waterfalls, notably Helen Hunt Falls and Silver Cascade Falls, characterize the canyon. Hiking and biking trails, some challenging, are available. A permit is required for technical rock climbing.
Starsmore Discovery Center, at the east entrance of the park, is a visitor center with exhibits about area wildlife, the history of the park and nature programs. Another visitor center is at Helen Hunt Falls, 3 miles up the canyon. Both centers offer special youth programs and hummingbird watching in summer.
Picnicking is permitted.
