Pros: The location, the kitchen and the outdoor hot tubs. Also the view from our room was amazing. The physical property is attractive and has a ton of potential all of the elements are there for a great experience.
Cons: The restaurant was attractive but the food and service was terrible. The glasses were filthy and we were given an explanation that there is a high mineral content in crested Butte and some of the cleanest water in the world. However the water tasted weird. Come on! The menu was very limited and it was very expensive. The chips were stale and the salsa was gross- how do you screw up chips and salsa? We were so exhausted when we came in that we just want to order room service for dinner but because her lunch was so terrible when you have just going to the grocery store to pick up dinner. The pool was tiny and the area around the pool was dirty and wet, so much so that it was gross and cold trying to sit there and watch my kids swim. I reserved a one bedroom room for five and then when I arrived and ordered a roll away bed they wanted to charge me $25 a night for it. I passed and we figured it out but it was uncomfortable. We decided to go to the front desk to pick up a couple of DVDs only to discover that our VCR didn't work. Maintenance came to our room and said that the last of the repaired VCRs were delivered and we were out of luck. My husband suggested grabbing one from an unoccupied room. So we got one from another room only to discover that are remote didn't work. Maintenance left the room before the movie played and I figured out that I could just click on the actual VCR only to have the movie skip and pause. My husband and I got a couples massage and when he went to his locker there were no shoes or robe. I had to leave the relaxation room and go to the front desk to get a robe. By the time I got back massage therapist were there and we didn't even have a chance to sit and relax together. Rather than relaxing and comfortable the whole thing was just hard and exhausting.
