Cripple Creek District Museum, at Bennett Ave. and Fifth St., is housed in five original historic buildings. The museum includes the original Midland Terminal Railroad Depot, a turn-of-the-20th-century assay office, two Victorian apartments, mining equipment, an art gallery and two fully furnished historic cabins. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
$7; $5 (ages 60+ and military with ID); free (ages 0-12).
Hours: Daily 10-5, mid-May to mid-Oct.; Sat.-Sun. 10-4, rest of year.
