Rio Grande County Museum and Cultural Center

Rio Grande County Museum and Cultural Center, a half-blk. s. of US 160 at 580 Oak St., offers visitors a glimpse of the San Luis Valley’s cultural and natural history. Artifacts displayed include those of Native Americans, pioneers, Hispanic settlers and gold miners. The museum also houses an exhibit about explorer John C. Fremont, a rock art display and changing art exhibits.
