Molly Brown House Museum, 2 blks. s. of Colfax Ave. at 1340 Pennsylvania St., was the home of Margaret Tobin Brown, who was known for her political activism and philanthropy as well as for surviving the Titanic disaster. The socially prominent Mrs. Brown moved into the home in 1889 after her husband struck gold in Leadville. She was later immortalized in the musical “The Unsinkable Molly Brown.” Built in 1889, the house has been restored to its original Victorian splendor. Guided tours are available.
$8; $7 (ages 65+ and military and students with ID); $5 (ages 6-12).
Hours: Guided 45-minute tours are offered every 30 minutes Tues.-Sat. 10-3:30, Sun. noon-3:30 (also Mon. 10-3:30, June 15-Aug. 15). Closed major holidays.
