AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Cuisine/Specialty): The housemade burrata is possibly the best in town. The calamari is great, too. I like the secretive feel of the below-ground location.
You enter this location at street level, but the restaurant is downstairs below ground. It makes it feel a bit secretive. Start by sharing the calamari or something from the formaggio and salumi bar, like the house-made burrata and imported speck. Entrée highlights include lamb meatballs, rabbit with spinach and ricotta gnudi and short ribs. Lighter fare includes salads, panini and such gourmet pizzas as the fig and goat cheese with prosciutto cotto. Beverages include a wine list focusing on Italian wines as well as unique craft cocktails. The casual bistro-style décor is relaxing even when the staff is bustling around you.
