AAA Inspector Notes
This historic property was built by the famous Freelan Oscar Stanley, co-inventor of the Stanley Steamer car and manufacturer of violins. Stephen King stayed at the Stanley after a late season attempt to visit the Rocky Mountain National Park. The mostly empty hotel became the inspiration for King's famous novel 'The Shining.' Not evaluated. Facilities, services, and décor characterize a mid-scale property.

Jan insured that I would...
Pros: Leaving. The house keeping staff and check in staff was amazing. These two should teach the assistant mangers and this incompetent man person what guest service is.
Cons: Jan was rude and rediculous on the phone, I have never received that kind of guest service. Then when I asked her name again she said "ohhh no" assuming she has to work here still because she didn't plan for retirement and can't stand long. She was a real peach. Then the manger who handles our information was pathetic. I've had better service from a drooling Walmart door greeter.

Not worth the money
Pros: The bath tub had jets
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable, we keep hitting out heads on the eaves.
