AAA Inspector Notes
Built in 1915, this hotel references its past while offering modern amenities. Glittering, marble mosaic tiles in the floor catch your eye as you enter the lobby. Look around to find unique antiques like the restored 1885 Weber rosewood piano and exposed-brick walls. Walk outside and you're in the heart of the historic downtown area. Smoke free premises. 68 units. 3-4 stories, interior corridors.

Pros: Excellent location. Beautifully restored hotel. Room was clean and a good size.
Cons: Pets were allowed but I wouldn't say the hotel is pet friendly. Having a pet and disabled person in a room on the second floor & furthest from the elevator (and up a ramp) made things difficult. It was quite a challenge to get my little guy outside in a timely fashion.

Pros: This was my 2nd visit to Hotel Denver - and once again my short stay there added hugely to the joy of my vacation in Colorado. The moment I walked in the door I felt so warmly and heartily welcomed by the formidable Roxie and her staff, it was like coming to a private home. I will never stay anywhere else in Glenwood Springs.
Cons: Nothing ! well - perhaps that weird American idea that you cannot open the windows anywhere to let in some fresh air, but are stuck with the dratted air conditioning ! Am now struggling with a chest cold - but then: it's a small price to pay for going to the beautiful Roaring Fork Valley.
