AAA Inspector Notes
I began with the red and golden beet carpaccio, which had a layer of thinly sliced beets with arugula and goat cheese. The sweet beets went well with the tart cheese and spicy greens. The French onion soup featured savory broth and a thick layer of melted Gruyère. The main course was a bit of a disappointment. I tried the halibut flavored with a mango and ginger sauce. Although beautifully presented, the halibut was mushy and watery in the center. The Victorian décor features intricately carved wood pieces, antique glass vases and Victorian-era framed prints.
