Pioneer Village Museum, .2 mi. e. on US 40 at CR 55, is in a 1924 schoolhouse. Exhibits about the skiing industry, pioneer families, transportation development and the Windy Gap archeological site are presented. Other exhibits highlight the history and construction of a P.O.W. camp and the Moffat Tunnel, a railroad tunnel running through James Peak. Restored buildings on the grounds include a ranch house, a blacksmith shop, a schoolhouse, a courthouse and a jail.
