Koshare Indian Museum, 18th St. and Santa Fe Ave., is patterned after the Native American ceremonial kivas of the Southwest. The museum houses fine art and sculpture, pottery, bead and quill work, baskets, rugs and kachinas. The Koshare Indian Dancers perform interpretive Native American dances, preserving the Pueblo and Plains heritage and culture.
Museum $5; $3 (ages 7-17 and 65+). Museum and dance performances $10; $5 (ages 3-17).
Hours: Daily noon-5, June-Aug.; daily noon-5, in Dec.; Fri.-Mon. and Wed. noon-5, rest of year. Winter hours vary; phone ahead. Dances are performed June-July and the week after Christmas to mid-Jan. at 7 p.m. Closed major holidays. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
