Healy House Museum and Dexter Cabin, 912 Harrison Ave., depict Western life in a booming 19th-century silver mining town. Built as a private home in 1878, the three-story, clapboard Greek Revival Healy House is restored to its original Victorian style. Lavish furnishings and collections, including items belonging to silver magnate Horace Tabor and his wife Augusta, depict the late 1800s bonanza mining period. Gardens include heritage plants and native wildflowers.

The 1879 Dexter Cabin—built by James V. Dexter, one of the state's early millionaires— looks like a rustic log cabin from the outside but is finished inside with fine woodwork and hardwood floors.
