Longmont Museum is 1 mi. s. on US 287, then e. to 400 Quail Rd. Regional history is exhibited in several galleries, including the Longs Peak Room, which offers panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains. Front Range Rising is an interactive exhibit that guides visitors through 14,000 years of area history featuring maps, re-created habitations and photographs. A research archive is available. Special exhibits about art, history and technology are offered. The 250-seat Stewart Auditorium presents concerts, films, lectures and special events. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
Free. Special exhibits $8; $5 (ages 62+ and students with ID); free (ages 0-3 and to all second Sat. of the month).
