Cave of the Winds, 6 mi. w. of I-25 exit 141 on US 24, offers cave tours through lighted chambers. On the Discovery Tour, a half-mile walking tour, visitors see chambers containing stalactites, stalagmites, helictites and other natural cave formations. On the Lantern Tour visitors light their own way with handheld lanterns while guides tell tales of early cave exploration, ghosts and the history of the cave’s first owners. Additional outdoor activities include a rope course, a zip line, an aerial ride and gold panning. Food is available in summer.
