El Pueblo History Museum is off I-25 exit 98B, then 3 blks. w. to 301 N. Union Ave. The museum depicts the history of the region’s varied cultures. Permanent exhibits focus on Native Americans, European explorers, trade and settlement, agriculture, industry and natural history. Murals and a hall of international flags also are presented. The museum functions as a visitor information center and a gateway to the city’s Historic Arkansas Riverwalk and Union Avenue historic district.
$5; $4 (ages 6-12, ages 65+ and students or military with ID); free (ages 0-5 and to ages 6-12 on Sat.).
Hours: Mon.-Sat. 10-4 (also Thurs. 4-8), Sun. noon-4. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, July 4, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Allow 1 hour minimum.
