Ridgway Railroad Museum, 150 Racecourse Rd., educates visitors about narrow-gauge railroad history in southwestern Colorado. Featured railroads include the Rio Grande Southern, Silverton Railroad and Ouray Branch Denver and Rio Grande. Indoor and outdoor exhibits include rolling stock and portray the history of the famous RGS “Galloping Geese.” Self-guiding tour brochures are contained in a box at the entrance. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.

Hours: Daily 9-5, June-Sept.; daily 10-3, in May and Oct.; by appointment rest of year. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
