Overland Trail Museum, e. of the Platte River Bridge at jct. I-76 and US 6, contains historical exhibits including an Evangelical church, blacksmith shop, house, print shop, one-room schoolhouse, barn, general store, barber shop, a 1930s gas station, household goods and Native American artifacts. The Dave Hamil Rural Electric Association building demonstrates how electricity changed rural America. Fossils from northeastern Colorado also are displayed. Picnicking is permitted.
$3; $1.50 (ages 4-12). Cash or checks only.
Hours: Mon.-Sat. 9-5, Apr.-Oct.; Tues.-Sat. 10-4, rest of year. Closed Memorial Day. Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
