Pros: The hotel clerk was warm and friendly. The accommodations were spacious and very clean. The bed was rummy and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great. The omelet chef went out of his way to make our morning treats.
Cons: The Fritz pub menu could use a tasty renovation.

Pros: Loved the included breakfast in our stay. All the staff was friendly and accommodating to the point that they knew my name and family every time we went down for breakfast. Their are multiple pools and hot tubs to enjoy and ski slopes right out the back door if you're up for that. The botanical gardens are on the back doorsteps of the lodge along with the ford amphitheater. Vail is within walking distance and the free city bus drives by the lodge every 6-8 minutes at golden peak right across the street from the front entrance. They also have a gym facility with exceptional equipment which is right across the hall from a spa. If you have the money to spend on those things it's highly convenient.
Cons: Unfortunately, cost is still an issue with me. but staying in Vail during the winter it had the best dollar for dollar value I could find at nearly 60% off. Take some friends and pool your money and the cost is highly affordable. The beds were a bit hard and some of the equipment didn't work in our lodge. The bathroom fan didn't work, but the heater did. The floors were heated. During our stay we had one hot day and I couldn't get the A/C to turn on from either of the thermostats. Just opened a door instead. Even though the lodges don't allow smoke you still have to watch out for the occasional smokers while walking around. And not always cigarettes...

Pros: There was not one thing I can think of that they could improve. The breakfast was magnificent, the staff very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect and the room was comfortable and clean.
Cons: Free parking would be nice instead of charging $25 per day.
