This popular restaurant was designed to look like a vineyard farmhouse. Rustic wood-trimmed ceilings, large light fixtures and colorful abstract paintings of vegetables and other foods painted on the walls add to the modern country appeal. Another main highlight is the open-kitchen concept which offers a view of the large brick oven. The menu offers a fresh and creative twist on many Italian favorites, pizza and seafood. When available, start with the mouthwatering appetizer-sized, homemade butternut squash and ricotta ravioli in a sage-brown butter sauce with shaved grana parmigiano. Then try the panko-crusted, sautéed haddock with potato gnocchi, prosciutto di parma, peas, wild mushrooms and arugula in a parmigiano cheese or a gourmet stone pizza. For dessert, the seasonally offered warm apple tart baked in the wood-fired oven with vanilla cinnamon gelato and butterscotch is worth the calories.
