The Barker Character, Comic and Cartoon Museum is at 1188 Highland Ave. (SR 10); from jct. SR 68, proceed 2.3 mi. n. on SR 10. This collection of childhood artifacts spans 140 years of American history. More than 70,000 cartoon-inspired toys, books and memorabilia items are on display, from original clay models used to create the beloved Gumby character and 1950s lunch boxes to nostalgic remembrances of “Star Wars,” “Sesame Street” and the “Smurfs.”
