Nathan Hale Homestead is 4 mi. s. of SR 44 at 2299 South St., following signs. Revolutionary War patriot and official State Hero Capt. Nathan Hale was born on this farm in 1755. The family rebuilt the house in 1776, the same year Hale was captured by the British and hanged as a spy. The house is restored and furnished with many Hale family possessions. Guided tours are available.
$10; $8 (senior citizens, educators and students with ID); $5 (ages 6-18 and students with ID); $20 (family, two adults and children).
