Danbury Railway Museum is off I-84 exit 5, s. onto Main St. then e. to 120 White St. Housed in Danbury's restored 1903 station and rail yard, the museum depicts the history of railroading in the Northeast. Vintage equipment, photographs, artifacts and scale models are among interpretive displays. A guided tour of the rail yard allows visitors to walk through several trains. The Rail Yard Local train provides a view of the historic rail yard on 25-minute rides, given on weekends.
