I was there for a 5 hour conference in the morning. I got a lot of exercise going back and forth from room to conference. The hotel is very nice, they have 2 pools, inside and outside. The restaurant and lounge were ok. I'm not sure if I will stay again or recommend it to anyone as I didn't have a good experience with the corporate office. I need to be in that area once a month for a conference at that hotel, I might have to stay somewhere else and drive over. I'm not real happy about that.
Pros: It was clean, there was a very helpful gentleman at the front door always.
Cons: I didn't care for the heavy fragrance of roses. They use a lot of spray to cover odors, that triggered asthma and allergy problems. I used my AAA discount and they couldn't give me a room with a balcony, 85% of the rooms had balconies and the room was as far from the conference room as it possibly could be. The AAA discount was $5 less than their own non refundable reservation. I'm not sure why they needed to give me the lowest quality room they have. The internet was $7.95 for 10 minutes in the business center. I had breakfast delivered, it was fair and obviously over priced, the coffee was good. What I really didn't like was the fact that I woke up with bites. I'm not saying they were bedbugs, they certainly look like bedbug bites. It could have been a spider or several spiders. I didn't want to make a scene in the lobby so I contacted them when I got home to check room 246. They asked for pictures, reluctantly I had to send them a picture of my backside to prove I had several patches of bites. They simply said I did not get any bites in their hotel. Well I did - 8 days later they are still very itchy, they are not mosquito bites as they suggested.
