AAA Inspector Notes
Located in Old Farmington Village, within walking distance of the historic section with its Colonial homes and shops. Beds feature European sheets, white goose down duvets and mattress toppers. Many of these spacious guest rooms are decorated in tasteful early New England-style furnishings and décor. Each room has a two-post sleigh bed or a four-poster canopied bed. Cordial staff greets guests as they check in. A wine and cheese social is provided for guests on certain evenings. The inn is popular with an international clientèle due to its close proximity to the famous Miss Porter's Boarding School, a highly selective preparatory school for teenage girls. Popular breakfast offerings include fruit cups, hard boiled eggs, and a make your own waffle machine. Smoke free premises. 74 units, some houses. 2 stories (no elevator), interior corridors.

Disappointing

Pros: The location was convenient for where we were going. Nice historic atmosphere.
Cons: We were on the 1st floor and you can really hear the people above you walking around. I also did not like the pillows

Poor
08-11-2017
Pros: The cost of our room was reasonable and the location of the hotel was safe. The hotel is best for those who prefer antique over modern.
Cons: The hotel had no elevator. Because we had multiple bags, it was more difficult than it should have been going from the lobby to the hotel's top floor. The air conditioner in our room was extremely loud, and our room had a stale smell (mold ?).

Pros: The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Wine and cheese was available in the lobby in the late afternoon.
Cons: There was no restaurant or bar onsite; however, there was a nice Italian restaurant and bar next door.
