AAA Inspector Notes
Flavorful Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine with a strong Lebanese influence is a departure and a delight for most visitors to the area. Servers know the menu well and will help with recommendations. The appetizer sampler is a great value as it allows you to choose three smaller versions from the large menu at one low price. The house specialty is the charbroiled LaLa chicken marinated in fresh herbs and served with garlic spread, pickles and a fresh pita. Guests are welcomed by female servers dressed in all black with jeweled sarongs that jingle as they walk. I enjoyed the baba ghanoush, falafel, and the slow cooked grape leaves stuffed with rice, chickpeas, parsley, onions, lemon juice and extra-virgin olive oil. This small gem features an open kitchen area in the middle (similar to an old pizza parlor), but the warm-colored tile floors, stucco arches and wood-beam ceiling add flair. Dark wood tables are topped with Moroccan-style mini candle lanterns that create a colorful glow in the evening.
