New Canaan Nature Center

New Canaan Nature Center is 3 mi. n. from Merritt Pkwy. exit 37 at 144 Oenoke Ridge Rd. (off SR 124), .5 mi. n. of the town center. Native plants and animals inhabit the preserve's 40 acres of meadow, woodland, stream, pond and marsh habitats; gardens and displays adjoin nature trails. Environmental tips are shared in exhibits about landscaping. The outdoor Birds of Prey exhibit features seven aviaries.

The Discovery Center offers hands-on exhibits, and there also is a public greenhouse.
