This attractive Irish pub is located in the town's original pharmacy. The pressed copper ceiling and exposed brick walls are enhanced by the Victorian-style mirrored bar, mahogany pillars, wood floors and gas fireplace. Stone work and other authentic Irish pub appeal were added by masons from Ireland. The food is not your ordinary pub fare; soups, sauces and desserts are all made in house. The enjoyable "Midnight Wings" are marinated in Guinness and teriyaki, then baked (as a healthier alternative to the classic fried wings) and served with three delicious dipping sauces (sweet chili, Thai peanut and spicy mustard). Other menu items include an "Angus Whiskey Ketchup Burger," shepherd's pie, traditional bangers and mash and grilled salmon on roasted root vegetables with a lavender honey glaze. For dessert, the bittersweet chocolate marquis served with a tart raspberry sauce is impressive. During weekday happy hour, typically 4 to 6 p.m., half-priced appetizers and drink specials are served, making this a popular place for the after-work crowd.
