Impressive shoreline views of the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound complete with a lighthouse and marina make this inn one of my favorites.

This chic waterfront resort is the epitome of New England sailing culture. Many rooms have a fireplace and balcony that overlook the river, sound and large marina filled with boats. Sophisticated rooms feature upscale antique reproduction furniture, comfy robes, and white marble accented bathrooms. Both saltwater pools are open year-round, including the outdoor pool that's heated allowing for cool weather swimming. Gracious staff often welcome those celebrating a special occasion with a complimentary amenity. An electric car charging station is available.
