Putnam Memorial State Park is at jct. SRs 107 and 58. The park contains the 1778 winter quarters of Gen. Israel Putnam and his New England troops. The palisade and blockhouses have been restored; traces of other buildings can be seen. An interpretive trail winds through the area. The park offers hiking, fishing and ice-skating.
