AAA Inspector Notes
This restaurant's name was inspired by the highway that leads from Campagna, south of Naples, to the tip of Italy's boot. The chef was inspired by his time in Italy to create a sophisticated, yet casual, restaurant serving high-quality pizza from a wood-burning oven along with fine wine. At lunch the popular items include piadines—homemade Italian flatbread sandwiches—and thin-crust, wood-fired pizza. Diners can enjoy friendly service in a comfortable atmosphere. Choose between white or red pizza, crafted with homemade mozzarella and tomato sauce then topped with a blend of parmigiano reggiano and pecorino Romano cheese. All desserts are made from scratch in house including the gelato and sorbets. The flourless chocolate cake with coffee toffee gelato is mouthwatering. The narrow restaurant features an open-kitchen concept with a wood-burning oven for pizza making. The décor is simple yet attractive with pressed copper hanging lights, an exposed wood-beam ceiling, rustic wood floors and an exposed brick wall.
