As their tag line suggests—food and wine made simple—diners can be sure to find service that will pair that perfect bottle of wine and chefs that prepare meals in a simple yet tasteful way. The restaurant prides itself in using farm-fresh ingredients that are local whenever possible. Much of the produce is hand-picked from local Connecticut farms and paired with meats and fish from artisan producers. Start with roasted butternut squash soup, then move to the delicious roasted heirloom chicken. There are a number of wines from the Napa region of California but there are also numerous wines from Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. They also offer a wine-by-the-glass program of 50 wines which are updated daily to keep vintages and quantity current. The highly stylish restaurant is accented with olive green walls, dark wood tables lit with a small tea candle, modern matching green chairs, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a busy downtown street and an amazing wine tower that features more than 350 bottles of wine.
