Very Poor

Pros: There was very little to "like" about this hotel. We specifically found a hotel in the area with a pool for our grandchildren to play in, but the pool was about 55 degrees, the room that the pool was in was also very cold, and the pool was not clean.
Cons: Yes, many thugs. We were sorely disappointed. The pool was cold and dirty (to the point that we couldn't use it), there was no hot tub (they turned it into a planter..), and the hair dryer did not work.

Very good
Pros: The room and the bathroom were nicely clean. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The maintenance crew, needs customer service training. They knocked on my door three times. I politely told them that I would be out before 12:00. but they came back again at 12:05.

Convenient location, quiet stay.
Pros: If you are visiting UConn and need to be close to campus, this is the place for you. Very convenient location on campus and close to "downtown". Room was clean, staff was friendly.
Cons: You are paying for the location. Take this property and place it in a mid-size town that has a Hampton Inn or two and a Fairfield Inn or two, and they would not be able to charge more than $100/day.
