National Helicopter Museum is off I-95 exit 32 to the Stratford Eastbound Railroad Station at 2480 Main St. Exhibits, which explore the development of the helicopter, include photographs and drawings of such prototypes as a boomerang (the first rotary wing) and Leonardo da Vinci's “Helix.” A helicopter cockpit, model turbine engine and rotor blade also are displayed. A computer flight simulator is available.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
