Serving classic and unusual Mexican dishes in a refined atmosphere make this a favorite night spot. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly. The tableside guacamole served in a traditional molcajete, is a must. Servers throw fresh avocados, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, hot peppers and salt into a distinctive lava rock bowl then beat it with a large wooden spoon, mixing all the flavors together. Other delicious menu items include a variety of quesadillas, crispy street tacos and enchiladas. The budin de mariscos is a popular entrée that features a tortilla pie of shrimp and jumbo lump crab layered with spiced tomato salsa and baked with poblano cream sauce. The meal ends with complimentary warm churros in a bag and mini Mexican worry dolls that are traditionally placed under your pillow at night so the next day you will be worry free. The dining space is modern with two-story vaulted ceilings made of traditional tree trunks that are roped together.
