AAA Inspector Notes
Historic. Located in a historic 1810 Colonial home, this restaurant features three brick fireplaces, low-beam ceilings, wide plank floors and early American ironwork. It also is located on bustling Main Street which is filled with upscale shops. Priding itself in serving made-from-scratch regional New England cuisine, they serve mostly seafood, sandwiches and creative salads for lunch. Dinner has more creative dishes available such as baby lamb chops with a Parmesan-herb crust and minted couscous. Other dinner highlights include potato-wrapped sea bass on a bed of Swiss chard with Cabernet sauce and New England lobster stew featuring lobster meat with carrots and leeks in a rich lobster broth with a touch of cream.
