The Oliver Ellsworth Homestead is at 778 Palisado Ave. The Federalist Colonial home was built in 1781 by Connecticut's first senator and Supreme Court Justice, who played a role in the framing of the U.S. Constitution. Ellsworth is the author of the Judiciary Act, which set the stage for the country's third branch of government. The home features many original artifacts, including china and furniture.
