Roseland Cottage (Henry C. Bowen House) is at 556 SR 169, facing Woodstock Common. The Gothic Revival summer house was built in 1846 and contains much of its original furniture. On the grounds is a lovely old boxwood parterre garden and an outbuilding with the nation’s oldest surviving bowling alley. Features include the original icehouse and a garden house. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$10; $9 (ages 62+); $5 (ages 5-12 and students with ID).
Hours: Guided tours are given on the hour Wed.-Sun. 11-5, June 1-Oct. 15. Last tour begins 1 hour before closing.
