Kent Falls State Park

Kent Falls State Park is 4 mi. n.e. on SR 7 to 462 Kent Cornwall Rd. A favorite with Impressionist painters at the turn of the 20th century, the 295-acre park contains a spectacular waterfall that plunges 250 feet to the Housatonic River. A half-mile trail with observation decks goes to the falls, while a footpath leads across a covered bridge. An outdoor exhibit features a reproduction of Willard Leroy Metcalf’s painting “November Mosaic” in the setting where the artist worked.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
