The Curaçao Museum is .5 mi. (.8 km) w. of the Queen Emma Bridge at Van Leeuwenhoekstraat and Donderstraat in Mundo Nobo. The 1853 military hospital building, a fine example of ornate Dutch architecture, houses historical exhibits, colonial antiques and an art gallery. The SnipGallery houses the cockpit of De Snip, the first KLM airliner to cross the Atlantic. On the grounds is a 47-bell carillon, a sculpture garden and a cultural children's village.
