Delaware Museum of Natural History, 5 mi. n.w. on SR 52, contains a variety of natural history exhibits in naturalistic settings, from native flora and fauna to specimens representing Africa and the Great Barrier Reef. Noteworthy are an extensive shell collection, life-size dinosaurs and a full-scale model of a giant squid, and mounted African animals and extinct birds. The Nature Nook features hands-on exhibits and activities. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
