Capital Segway tours depart from 818 Connecticut Ave. N.W. Two-hour tours allow visitors to see downtown and the National Mall area from a Segway, a two-wheeled personal transportation device. In order to teach participants how to operate the machines, a short training video is shown, followed by a brief demonstration. Riders wear an earpiece so they can hear the guide's commentary about buildings along the route. A steady pace is maintained, but a break is offered. The route covers sidewalks, bike lanes and streets.</br>Note: Pregnant women are not permitted to take the tour. Participants must weigh less than 266 pounds.</br>Guided tours are available.</br>
$65-$70; $58.50-$63 (students and active military with ID). Ages 0-15 are not permitted. Reservations are strongly recommended.
