DC After Dark Tour (Tour L) departs from the Gray Line Terminal, on the bus level of the parking garage at Union Station, 50 Massachusetts Ave. N.E. The 3-hour tour features Washington's monuments and buildings illuminated by floodlights. Stops include the Martin Luther King Jr. or Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Jefferson, Lincoln, Vietnam Veterans, Iowa Jima and Korean War Veterans memorials as well as the White House (so visitors can get a photograph). The United States Capitol, Washington Monument, Federal Triangle, Kennedy Center and Georgetown are seen en route. Guided tours are available.
$45; $20 (ages 3-11); $115 (family, two adults and two children ages 3-11).

Hours: Tours depart nightly at 7 p.m., mid-Mar. to late Oct.; at 6:30 p.m., rest of year. No tours given Jan. 1, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas and Dec. 31. Phone ahead to confirm schedule, as tours are sometimes canceled.
