Marian Koshland Science Museum is at 525 E St. N.W. at 6th St. N.W. Three major exhibits focus on how people use science to solve problems. The Life Lab examines nutrition and the brain; the Earth Lab focuses on global climate change; and the Idea Lab is a sophisticated interactive display that incorporates findings from reports published by the National Academy of Sciences and other sources. Special programs are offered throughout the year. On-site parking is not available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$5; $3 (active military and students with ID).
Hours: Wed.-Mon. 10-6; other times by appointment. Last admission 1 hour before closing. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas and Dec. 31.
