National Museum of American Jewish Military History is at 1811 R St. N.W. Exhibits include flags, firearms and photographs dating from the Colonial period to the present. A permanent exhibition recounts World War II hero Julius Klein's historic life and work. The Hall of Heroes honors the American Jewish recipients of the Medal of Honor. Changing exhibits are also presented. Guided tours are available.
Donations.
Hours: Mon.-Fri. 9-5, Sun. by appointment (minimum of six people). Closed major Jewish and most federal holidays, except Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
