AAA Editor Notes
Petersen House is at 516 10th St. N.W., across from Ford's Theatre. The mortally wounded Lincoln was carried to a back bedroom in the home of William and Anna Petersen after he was shot by John Wilkes Booth. The three rooms contain period furnishings, none original to the house. The Petersen House can be seen following a theater and/or museum visit.

Note: Petersen House is closed for renovations in early 2019; phone ahead to confirm schedule. Daytime entry requires a timed ticket; a limited number of same-day tickets (limit of six per individual) are available in person at no charge from the box office.
