The Albert Einstein Memorial is at 2101 Constitution Ave. N.W., at the s.w. corner of the National Academy of Sciences, in a shady grove of trees. Robert Berks created this 4-ton, 12-foot-tall bronze statue of the most widely known modern physicist, who also was a National Academy of Sciences member. Einstein is casually seated on a white granite bench, while at his feet much of the known universe is depicted on a 28-foot circular sky map that shows stars to the sixth magnitude.
