Pros: bed was terrible -- large sink hole on one side -- needed to burn that mattress location was right across street from Metro -- added plus!

Pros:

Cons: Hotel has overcharged me from the rates agreed to with Booking.com. They put the charge through my credit card without my signing or putting pin in. I only realised the overcharge later. I would like booking.com to contact the hotel to arrange refund for me.

Pros: Bed was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean and well stocked.

Cons: When I checked the next day, 4 different charges from the Hilton Garden Inn were pending on my Amex account. One for the full amount of the weekend in the room, two for $150+ each and one for $10. The full price of the room posted to my account today but the other three charges are still pending. I don't understand why 3 other "holds" were needed if I'd already been charged the full amount for the room.

Pros: loved the location. So close to all the monuments and museums. Wonderful restaurants. And, walking distance to the start and finish line of the navy air force 5 miler! The staff were courteous, polite, happy and helpful.

Cons: I have a feeling that they choose the specific rooms they sell on booking,com and they are the Loudest! I was put Directly Over the lobby, and was woken up by Extremely noisy traffic at 3am! 3am! Ridiculous! Hundreds of rooms in this hotel and it Obviously wasn't full, and they must know how noisy those rooms are, and they Had to put me there?? And there is an ADDITIONAL $50 (yes 50) MANDATORY fee for parking! INSANE!!

Pros: Location, it was walking distance to cafes, stores, museums and monuments.

Cons: The cost to stay for a weekend was very expensive. Valet parking was $42. And for 3 nights I paid $698 when online the price said $542. I was in complete shock when I received the bill.

Pros: The location is great. The White House is 2 blocks away, and we easily walked to all of the museums and monuments. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly.

Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the cost of parking ($43 per day).

Cons: The staff was rude, not helpful at all, and in my opinion sneaky. We of course had to use there valet parking. The next morning our car smelled like cigarette smoke and we aren't smokers. The next day we left and went sight seeing we came back and our hotel room smelled of a very particular smell that I'm not saying on here but someone(housekeeping) had been in our room and spent way too much time in there.

Pros: The location was great. It was across the street from the Metro station, a 4-5 block walk to The White House and to everywhere else. We did a lot of walking to museums, monuments and restaurants. The staff was very helpful. They would take us outside to point us in the right direction. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

Pros: The staff at this hotel were exceptional. From small requests like hailing a cab or giving directions to local stops and shops, to more unreasonable requests like fixing a simple meal for me when I felt under the weather, they never failed to go above and beyond my expectations, and always with a happy and friendly demeanor. If I find myself in Washington DC again, I'll gladly return to this hotel.

Pros: Conveniently located to all the DC attractions. Courteous staff, very accommodating! We had canceled one of two rooms due to a medical reason after the allotted time and they waived the fee for the first night. It turned out that my granddaughter was able to make the trip after all and they were able to offer a second room and include a cot for free. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. A large lobby with sofas & chairs, large table with USB ports. Cold water with fresh lemons in a despenser during the day and coffee/tea in the evening and morning. We are greatfull for their professionalism and kindness!

Pros: The location was within walking distance of everything I needed to be by. The staff was helpful with guiding me and recommending places to eat. The bed was very comfortable.

Cons: The price was more than a colleague of mine paid for a room at a nearby hotel. My view out of my window was facing other windows-that was a little creepy for me.

Pros: The bed and pillows were very comfortable and room was very clean. The location to downtown eateries and shopping was great. the staff were helpful and friendly.

Cons: I was told that no one there could help me with info re: tickets to some of the events at some of the museums. The last time I stayed in DC the hotel I stayed at had a concierge that helped me 2-3 times with getting tickets. It was a great feature.

Pros: Great location to the tourist attractions, easy walking distance to everything.

Cons: Hotel charged me park in their garage, would have been nice to know how much when I booked the room. Some of the valets were kind of rude and the one who brought my car out of the garage ran into something and scratched the side of my car up then denied doing it. It wasn't scratched going in but had multiple scratches down the passenger side coming out of the garage.

Pros: The very first impression was the nice cold water presented to us at check in and then to open the door to our hotel room to find that it was cold and very much appreciated after experiencing very hot and humid weather outside! The location, safety and marshmallow pillows, were next on our list of highly valued appointments. Although the pool was very small, everyone seemed to be respectful and not take it over but share. There were lots of towels, both in the room as well as the pool area. The nice bed had wonderful linens and marshmallow pillows, We loved the view out of our 9th floor room, looking at the street below and the high rise building around us. This was truly a wonderful location. We could walk to restaurants, 5 Guys across the street, and Joe's one block away. At Joe's, the chicken and mashed potatoes were amazing. The subway just in front of the 5 Guys, bus stop right there as well, walking is a great option. There is also a CVS pharmacy a block and a half south of the hotel.

Cons: Did not get the wake up call for our visit to The "White House", the main reason for our visit to Washington DC. Therefore we were not able to eat breakfast, or pack for our flight that same morning, which was scheduled with plenty of time, if we had been packed and ready after our special tour. We hurried to the airport but did not make the flight. We went back to the hotel and advised the staff of the issue. They were very sorry and gave us our room for an extended time, until we were to leave for our flight out of Baltimore, Maryland. They also gave us a driver and car to take us there. This was very much appreciated. Planning for dinner and time to travel to Baltimore, I then again asked for a wakeup call and for the second time, no wakeup call! The only reason that they called at all was that the driver requested it, after waiting for a half hour for us. We were late again to arrive at the airport. Although we did make this flight, there was not enough time to eat a meal before flight or purchase a meal on the flight (All flights after 8 PM do not provide meals on board.) So we had pretzels for dinner. Not sure where the error was in the "wake-up calls" but I am assuming that it is the computer system that is in error, the staff seem to be very attentive and they have gone out of their way to try and make up for the inconvenience that we experienced. For that I am very grateful.

Pros: The proximity to the trains and the comfort of the beds were above average.

Cons: The valet service. We had a late dinner one night and came back around 10:30. We waited 20 min. + for the valet and he never showed up. Left the keys w/ the front desk. Also, the breakfast was a scam. It was worded like it was included. $20+ per person!
