Mexico City Naval Museum, on the fourth floor of the Main Post Office, has a number of exhibits that chronicle the country's naval history. Among the many replicas is a scale layout of the first naval battle in the New World. Displays of model ships, weapons, uniforms and other artifacts tell the story of significant Mexican naval conflicts, including the French invasion in 1862 and the U.S. occupation of Veracruz in 1914.
