The Wonder Gardens

The Wonder Gardens, 27180 Old US 41, was opened in 1936 as a refuge for injured animals. The facility now is home to a collection of native birds, including flamingos, as well as turtles and alligators. The grounds include botanical gardens and trees from around the world as well as a butterfly garden. A natural history museum is on the premises that includes a gallery of landscape photographs on display. Educational programs and special events are offered.
