AAA Inspector Notes
The restaurant name is reflective of its theme with newspaper clippings and pictures of hurricanes offering a glimpse into South Florida's weather history. The walls also are adorned with surfboards, posters, tropical artwork and beer signs. The place looks as if it belongs right on the beach with its shack-like appeal. Service always is friendly and efficient and super casual—flip flops, shorts and tee shirts are the norm—with the staff even sticking to the dress code. The menu features something for everyone, from sushi and stacked deli sandwiches to tasty seafood dishes and a fresh raw bar. The seafood bisque is a must to start off your meal. It's labeled as the best in town. Move onto a sandwich as your entrée. Although the sushi and raw bar items are very good, they are known for their monstrous sandwiches. Many of the menu items have a name that is synonymous with hurricane verbiage. Finish off with a slice of Key lime pie before being rolled out of the front door.
